Piano Bio
Awarded pianist and composer Keaton Hild is not only recognized for his talent and sensitivity on the piano but also for the emotion he brings to his compositions. Keaton’s music has taken him around the country and around the world. He has appeared at prestigious venues such as Severance Hall, across the USA and the world (Cleveland, Green Lake, Greensboro, Italy)
At age 9, he performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21 in C Major, K. 467 with a local orchestra in Northern California. At 13, he performed a solo piano benefit concert for the Batwa Pygmies in Uganda and donated the proceeds to Uganda Malaria prevention. In 2011 and 2012, he played for the Senate Rules Committee for their annual end of the year party.
He has won first prize in various competitions including Valencia Young Musicians Piano Competition Music In the Mountains Young Musicians Competition, Auburn Young Musicians Competition. Other awards include Jean Brooke Dunning Award at age 11 for Best Performance in the Music In the Mountains Young Musicians Competition; and many more.
